MISSION
Mission Statement:
Accomplish goals of vision statement through increased focus on community service activities.
Vision Statement:
Our primary goal for 2009-2010 is to identify and reach out to junior officers at O1-O2 level and provide them with professional development opportunities.
Quantifiable Goals:
Create a log of mentorship and community service activities conducted by SF Bay Chapter membership. Attain continuous increase of hours by 25% each CY quarter.
Our Customers:
Active CG & Navy, Active Reserve CG &Reserve Navy, Retirees, Local Community
Provide tangible value added for active duty and reserve members:
1. Promote mentorship program.
- NNOA.
- Create online biography of all chapter members and distribute this information to all new/perspective members.
- Utilize formal CG mentor program.
- Utilize formal Navy mentor program.
2. Emphasize professional development.
- Conduct OER/Fitness report training.
- Formal/informal interaction with senior officers.
- Quarterly luncheons.
Actively recruit new members for local chapter:
- Junior officers from local CG Cutters
- Naval Reserve officers
Recruit perspective military officers from local community:
- Increase chapter’s public visibility
- Obtain prepared recruiting literature to share with prospects
Leverage all community outreach opportunities: Club officers should be aware of each occasion wherein another member brings groups to CG Island
Enhance PR activities:
- Create website.
- Quarterly newsletters.
- Liaison with other associations with common goals.
- Incorporate current events/history emails.
Conduct fundraising activities:
- Scholarship award(s).
- Guest Speaker.
- Semi-Formal Luncheon/Dinner.
